Gil Zanchi Named Area General Manager at New Orleans Marriott
New Orleans, LA (PRWeb) January 12, 2007 -- Gil Zanchi has been named area general manager at the New Orleans Marriott. A 23-year Marriott veteran, Zanchi brings extensive knowledge in marketing, food and beverage and hotel operations to the 1,290-room hotel located in the heart of the Big Easy.
Taking the reins at the New Orleans hotel, Zanchi will be overseeing daily operations including sales and marketing performance, customer and guest services and more.

Zanchi's history with the Renaissance brand also includes stints as the hotel manager for the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in 1994 and general manager of the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel in 1997.
In addition to an illustrious career in the travel industry, Zanchi is also very involved with a number of associations, clubs, community service activities and more. Some of the organizations he works with include the Children's Miracle Network, the Marriott Business Council for Orlando and the Club Chef des Chef, where Zanchi is an honorable member. A native of Switzerland, Zanchi is a graduate of the Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne, and is fluent in French.
